Yeah, I would be interested in setting up a home and home series if I was Coach Eustachy and CSU.

The eagle reports that coach Eustachy actually talked to 3G about such a series after the game.

Yes, that is what prompted my comment.

That's a really good deal! Too bad the Hulsman Center or whatever has such terrible sight lines. And that ISUb is in Terre Haute. I went to a Lady Bears game up there once, you would have to pay me a ton of money to ever go back.

That's because you can't afford the gas. If you could afford the gas, you wouldn't live in a crappy apartment, on the crappy side of Columbia, with the crappy cable.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

"Mad Thoughts: Biggest Game of the Year Should Bring in More Students" - Loyola University Newspaper

                  By Madeline Kenney
                  February 8, 2017 7:42 p.m.

"...The Feb. 12 afternoon matchup between Loyola and Wichita State University is the biggest game to come to Gentile Arena this season. Wichita State, which is unofficially ranked No. 26 in the AP poll after receiving 38 votes, is a renowned basketball powerhouse, which draws a crowd. And when the Shockers stroll into Gentile Arena, they always draw in the largest crowd of the season.

As of Feb. 7, there are only about 50 lower bowl tickets still available for the Wichita State game. Brian Day, Loyola’s director of ticket operation, said he expects to sell out before the weekend...."

Ladies and gentlemen, behold the "lower bowl" and "upper bowl" of Gentile Arena, miraculously captured in the frame of a single photograph:

I did not realized that Loyola has never beaten Wichita State in Chicago. 0-26 now. Obviously, that is a streak we don't want to end especially this year.

                            Biggest rival?

Last thing I heard was we are to big for our britches but now we're rivals?
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Until another MVC program gets some consistency (the good kind), and year-in, year-out is playing competitive games against us, the sad truth is that we don't have a rival. That's sorta how that works; it's not pride or ego.

I wish we had a rival in the MVC. Several, in fact.
